Armen Djerrahian is a photographer, director and creative director.
Armen was born and raised in Paris where his passion for films and photography began while he was involved in BMX. Already involved in other urban forms of expressions: break dancing, graffiti and music, Armen took upon himself to religiously document the uprising of this new culture. He built a solid reputation in the music and publishing world as one of the very best photographer of his generation.
Eager to find new perspectives and new means of expression, Armen naturally moved to filmmaking and directing several music videos and commercials, earning himself a nomination at the BET Awards for "Best Video Of the Year" and the Grammy’s that same year.
Versatile, Armen's work shows that his creativity has no limits, whether it's shooting a ad campaign featuring Spike Lee or working with major artists such as Jay-Z and Usher to directing a series of beautiful films for Van Cleef & Arpels and ELLE, DS Automobiles and Giorgio Armani starring Chris Pine...
Armen moved to the US and worked in NYC as photographer and video director. Looking for new challenges, he is now located in Lisbon-Portugal.
From extreme sports to music and urban culture, to fashion and beauty Armen was able to create memorable work and showed that his creativity has no boundaries.
Armen also currently featured in the critically acclaimed book and traveling exhibition, Contact High.
